My role is -in architecture- to find, connect, and interconnect loose ends. If I say – I am an architect, all I want to do is to create a building. That only creates boundaries. As architects, we must blend in and dissolve; we must find ways to work with others.I find that problem-solving alone can become so pragmatic and deadly for architecture because it should be all about questioning. And maybe the first question to ask should be whether the problem at hand should be solved at all or is it enough? To me problem-solving is too limiting and not interesting. Architecture was never just about that.Making problems is more fun; solving problems is too easy. Every time handed a program i tear it apart and we continuously ask new questions.

“Architecture is the assemblage and design of stories in space.”
Liam Young/ Los Angeles, 2018

Personally, I believe there is always opportunity to bring joy to any project. Architecture should facilitate social needs, personal enjoyment and fulfillment. Whether that’s by introducing artwork, adding some color, or simply considering where you pu any room. It doesn’t matter how big or small, design gestures that speak directly to those that engage with a building raise the social capital of any project.

As architect i have a great opportunity and responsibility to be at the forefront of these major advancements to shape the construction industry for the better. As a profession we must not simply react to these changes, but lead the charge. Technology offers incredible opportunities for us all to work more closely together in a more integrated and efficient way. Also, one of my responsibility is to help reduce the impact of climate change. All other challenges will either pale into insignificance or became more and more exacerbated. That’s the architect’s role as an leader, must be able to achieve that at the highest technical and artistic level.

Thus sum up; architects have the responsibility to give a big contribution to make our planet a better place where we can live in today, and the best home for the new generations tomorrow.
