Community & Youth Center

Etiler is a neighbourhood on the Europe side of Istanbul.In the district of Beşiktaş, close to the business quarters of Levent of Maslak. Etiler is famous with its upmarket cafes , pubs , night clubs, gyms ,restaurants,fashion shops and shopping malls.The site also has many villas and private residences. The metro station close to the project area makes this area a more central point. Moreover, the Boğaziçi University campus in Etiler increases the youth potential in this area.Etiler analysis shows us where has not got so much green spaces and sport area.

Our design duty to solve that deficiencies and remove visible and invisible walls.Therefore, my project improved with dynamic design principles.Building’s facades and plans reflects dynamic principles of youth centre. Also , one of my concept idea is integration that used in work rooms according to choose Boğaziçi University clubs.

When youth center is designed , efficiency is main idea of design. Dynamism is second principle.So that , i decided to use light tubes first.Then when tubes become bigger it’s become working rooms. That design provide transparency for demolish all visible , invisible walls and people can meet easily with each other. Also , creates lightness emotion when they working in working rooms.Moreover , light tubes which are using as a working rooms  , provides light for lower enterance level. 

The high slope in the area and the dynamic design priority caused many elevation differences in plans and sections. In addition, this slope paved the way for the formation of the skateboard track. Sport room and skating parkour are choosed according to daily practice and participation concept. Translucency concept can see inside of buildings especially.Inside walls allow eye contact between circulation area and rooms.
